Kiss The Wet Goodby, Keep Your Masonry Dry©
Wet•Bar® product is a clear-synthetic-resin solution
designed to repell water, for the purpose of sealing and priming
masonry, while maintaining breathability.
Recomended for above grade, unpainted, unglazed, exterior stucco,
concrete, stone or brick. Wet•Bar® product provides excellent resistance to
damp migration on horizontal and vertical surfaces, provided that the
masonry was clean, dry and free of all surface deposits, e.g. oil,
grease, paint, varnish, salt, etc. at the time of application. The use
of Wet•Bar® product can prevent damage by water and ice
to concrete and masonry surfaces. Helps protect the integrity of
exterior surfaces; greatly retards spalling and cracking.
Masonary treated with Wet•Bar® product breaths freely, allowing moisture, or vapor to escape, which would otherwise be entrapped. Highly effective as a primer coat prior to the application of paint. Reduces concrete dusting effect.
Masonary should be cleaned and
pointed if necessary before application of Wet•Bar®
product. Cinder blocks and similar building materials with large pores
can not be rendered watertight with Wet•Bar®
product;
such surfaces must first be finished with cement.
Can be applied to new concrete as soon as it is dry.
Concrete / masonry surfaces that
have been previously contaminated with salt require thorough cleaning.
Coverage: 125 sq.ft per gallon per coat.
Application: 1 to 2 coats should be applied. 4 hours dry
time between coats. Fully water repellent in 48 hours.
Drying Time: Touch dry in about 15 minutes, or more, depending on
drying conditions. Allow one week drying time before painting over.
