General Information: Osmose^® End Cut Wood Preservative Water Repellant Primer/Sealer product preserves
against fungi and insect attack, and imparts water repellency to wood and other cellulosic materials. In order to attain maximum protection it is important that sufficient product be applied. Clean, natural wood, or pressure-treated wood, treated with Osmose^® End Cut Wood Preservative Water Repellant Primer/Sealer product becomes primed for staining. A finishing coat of conventional exterior stain or paint can be applied to dried surfaces. Darker colours are recommended because the moss colour will tend to bleed through light coloured paint and stain. The moss colour of the treated wood will mellow, without affecting the preserving properties of the treatment. Additional application (on unfinished wood) will restore the colour and reinforce the treatment. Excellent for applying over pressure-treated wood to help retain the water soluable salts within the wood, thus preventing the pressure-treated salts from washing out in the rain.

Specification: Osmose^® End Cut Moss Wood Preservative Water Repellant Primer/Sealer product is a petroleum-solvent copper naphthenate based wood
preservative. Contains 2.35% copper as copper naphthenate and .075% Bis(Tri-n-Butyltin) Oxide.

Uses: Apply to clean, dry, unfinished wood, such as pressure
treated wood, natural untreated wood, free from all coatings, primers, oils and dirt. Do not use on wood exposed to living quarters or in saunas/hot-tubs. Treated wood is suitable for horticultural applications when the Osmose^® End Cut Moss Wood Preservative Water Repellant Primer/Sealer product has dried. Freshly treated wood is known to disuade rodents from chewing the wood for up to half a year. Typical uses include:
greenhouse lumber, landscaping lumber, farm buildings, roofing frames and decking, subflooring, construction framing, mine and excavation props, fences, decks, steps, docks, open wooden boats, and generally, wood in
contact with ground and water. Nets, ropes and tarpaulins (of natural cellulosic materials) may be protected with Osmose^® End Cut product, diluted one to one with mineral spirits. Dry, and air the treated fabric thoroughly, until there is no odour.

Properties: Coverage: 200-250 square feet per 1US
gallon; dependant on the porosity of the wood and
treatment depth desired. Apply by: brush, roller, or
dipping. Drying time: minimum twelve hours before
staining or painting. Flash point: 42 Celsius (Fire
Underwriters safe solvent). Moss colour: may vary from
batch to batch. Odour: lingers for some time, depending
on humidity, temperature and ventilation. Stability:
does not freeze under normal conditions.
